Alex Andrews cleverly weaves African American, Native American, and East Asian perspectives on finding love, embracing compassion and fighting injustice.Andrews is currently 2021 a professor of English and Humanities at Estrella Mountain College in Avondale, AZ. He is actively involved in defending and advocating the viewpoints of underrepresented groups in the U.S., abroad and on campus. In 2009 he received the Student Advocate Award for Excellence due to his exemplary contributions to students and the community. Another honor he received in 2018 was the Maricopa Community College District Outstanding Teaching Award.
