S. D. Edgehillwas born in St. Croix and raised in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. She began writing at the age of 11. She has written in multiple areas, as a press intern, as a Congressional Aide, as Vice President of Education for Toastmasters International, and as a Technical Writer. S. D. Edgehill: “As early as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a writer. I penned my first short story at age 11. It was my first attempt at an original idea after creating the characters inside my head. The story, however, never made it farther than my grade school notebook. I knew then that I wanted to be a storyteller, but I also knew I wanted to share my stories with others. The odds are great for would-be writers, but I felt compelled to tell my story. In 2003, I self-published my first novel, To Honor Thy Mother. I had finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of seeing my story fill the pages of a book. When I am not writing, I am usually spending time with my family and friends in Atlanta, Georgia where I reside. I hope you will enjoy reading my book as much as I enjoyed writing it.”
