Born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas, Shannon Freeman works full time as an English teacher in her hometown. Working as a teacher, Freeman stays close to topics that are relevant to teenagers today.
She enjoys a life filled with friends and family. She and her husband Derrick have four beautiful children Kaymon, Kingston, Addyson and Brance.
Freeman’s debut series, Port City High, was geared to readers on the high school level. Summit Middle School is the author’s second series. She looks forward to reaching students from multiple backgrounds through characters and plots that students can relate to.
