Sundee T. Frazier is the author of Brendan Buckley’s Universe and Everything in It, about a biracial boy who builds a secret friendship with his white grandfather in search of the truth about why they’ve never met. For her debut novel, Frazier won the American Librarian Association’s 2008 Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Award. Her second novel, The Other Half of My Heart, tells the story of biracial twin sisters-one black-appearing, the other white-appearing-whose relationship is tested when they travel to North Carolina to stay with their black grandmother and compete in a pageant for African-American girls.

Frazier graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1991 and earned her MFA in Writing for Children from Vermont College in 2004. She is also the author of Check All That Apply: Finding Wholeness as a Multiracial Person. She currently lives near Seattle with her husband and two daughters.
