William Cooper Nell: Nineteenth-Century African American Abolitionist, Historian, Integrationist. For the first time, a biography of William Cooper Nell and a major portion of his articles from “The Liberator”, “The National Anti-Slavery Standard”, and “The North Star” have been published in a single volume. The book is the first to document the life and works of Nell and includes correspondence with many noted abolitionists such as Wendell Phillips, Frederick Douglass, Amy Kirby Post and Charles Sumner.
