Ceet The Author hails from South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he began honing his craft as an artist as early as age nine. At fourteen he wrote a short story for his high school English class entitled “Summertime in my neighborhood”, and fifteen years later that story became the basis for Ceet’s first official release, 2009’s “The Whore and The Virgin.” The book became an instant hood classic and all of the positive feedback inspired Ceet to release his second effort, “A Dog’s Day” that very same year.
While gaining recognition as a writer Ceet then began pursuing another passion, filmmaking and videography. In 2010 he wrote, produced, and directed “The Wrong Few Brothas” movie/music video starring City Council and Jay Stars. Also in 2010 was the release of “The Dead End Movement”, a documentary about the Philadelphia community where Ceet was raised. After completing the documentary Ceet went on to produce and direct a number of independent film projects, including the “The BARZ freestyle series” and the “Dead End Cyphers”, as well as a number of music videos for artist in and around Philadelphia, including the 2012 street banger “The South Philly Anthem.”
Today Ceet continues to study his craft and pursue his dreams from his home in South Philly. He’s already released several more novels under his imprint BRP Entertainment, as well as several skits, web series, and music videos. With many more projects down the line Ceet shows no signs of slowing down.
