Elizabeth Meyette’s journey has taken her through a career in education to a career in writing. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Master of Arts in Education and a Master of Arts in Library Science/Media/Technology from Central Michigan University. Elizabeth put her first novel, Love’s Destiny on the shelf for 30 years while she taught English, Journalism and Library Science/Technology in Midland Public Schools.

Upon retiring from teaching, she dusted off Love’s Destiny, polished it and submitted it to Crimson Romance, an imprint of F&W Media, who published it in June 2012. Unlike her first novel, the sequel, Love’s Spirit took only seven months from inception to submission, and was published in April 2013.To coin a friend’s phrase, she didn’t retire, she “refired” and loves her second career as a writer. Her latest novel, The Cavanaugh House, is a mystery set in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. She will publish the sequel, Buried Secrets, in January 2016. She has also published poetry and freelance articles. Elizabeth’s current unpublished projects include a play, a chapbook of poetry and three children’s books: The Go-to-Sleep Tree, Rise and Shine, Caroline and At Annie’s House. Elizabeth and her husband Richard live in West Michigan. They have an agreement that she cannot cook on writing days after he had endured burnt broccoli and overcooked chicken too many times. Fortunately, Richard is an excellent cook.
